With exacure we offer a cutting-edge system that flexibly combines robotic patient positioning with additional modules for high-end radiotherapy.
With exacontrol we offer a high-performance and fully integrated control system that combines an intuitive software solution with innovative hardware components. All exacure modules can be controlled from the stationary control system and the wireless control panel in the treatment room based on safety rated technology. The wireless control with touchscreen is easy to use and allows the clinical staffs to provide a superior level of patient care, also in the treatment room.
BEC uses service proven industrial products and solutions for designing highly reliable systems for future medicine. For us this is not a new paradigm but our philosophy since we started our business in 2004. Thus we rely on KUKA robot technology for the examove patient positioning system to offer a flexible system that is easy to use for clinical staff while providing the greatest level of patient care.

The exacouch radiotherapy couch system is optimized for treatment and imaging with the exacure system. The design ensures precise and repeatable sub-millimeter patient positioning and is made of advanced fiber composites with an outstandig artifact free scanning area. The indexing system is compatible to the most common imaging systems for highly accurate treatment.
To ensure maximum positioning accuracy, BEC has a high-resolution optical tracking system. The exatrack module is fully integrated in the exacontrol system and allows to measure the patient’s position directly in the isocenter and compensate couch-flex in real-time. Couch deformations no longer have influence on the position accuracy and the complex implementation of look-up tables during calibration is no longer needed. The exatrack multi-camera solution can operate up to four cameras simultaneously and assures maximum precision, even for complex gantry rooms.
Highly configurable multi-purpose system for flexible patient treatment in a sitting position. The chair was designed to allow precise and fine adjustment of all seat segments for multi purpose use. Arms and feet can positioned individually and all carbon segments of the seat and backrest are removable to eliminate interfering artifacts.
The exadock couch coupling system was designed for flexible use of the examove positioning system with different modules for patient positioning as the exachair and the exacouch. The high precission pneumatic locking system guarantees consistent accuracy even at high loads. The system can also be used to move and position QA equipment and other customized tools in the treatment room. With the integration of a shuttle system we can achieve highly efficient patient handling.
The exaview module enables the integration of 3rd party imaging systems in exacure for tumor position verification in the treatment room. Currrently BEC offers the integration of a high-end imaging systems.
With the exapoint module we offer the design and control of nozzle accessories, for example of ripple filters and range shifters. The high-level drive controls allow safe, smooth motion with optimized drive settings. Collision avoidance software and touch sensitive covers protect the patient from collision
BEC offers gantry systems and the exaturn gantry control software for proton and heavy ion therapy. A gantry is a steel structure containing the end of the beam transport system and the scanning nozzle (exapoint). The structure rotates the beam line with great accuracy around the iso centre enabeling an irradiation of the patient from various angles. The innovative gantry design of BEC allows high precision and reliability while reducing the weight and cost of the system. The exaturn software module allows to integrate the gantry drive control in the exacure workflow while ensuring highest patient safety during the entire course of treatment.
